MVG2020v3 is an optional video module designed for Q3D 100SB cards in order to provide image output for 2D video modes, i.e. it turns your 3Dfx accelerator into a complete solution with support for both 2D and 3D video modes. Although it is compatible with the Obsidian X-24 and 200 sb cards too, it is designed to support the visual style of Obsidian 100sb accelerators.
This module is based on the S3 Trio64®V2™ integrated 2D accelerator and equipped with 4MB 1-cycle EDO RAM . These characteristics provide excellent speed and compatibility for various DOS graphics modes, which makes it very useful for DOS gaming along with support of 1024x768 32 color mode in Windows with various refresh modes.
The Trio64V2 chip is far superior compared to Alliance's crappy chip in terms of compatibility, reliability and functionality.
